Morrisville Fire Company is located in Bucks County, PA just north of Philadelphia and directly across the Delaware River from Trenton, NJ. The company protects a five square mile area with a population of approximately 15,000 people. The company membership is made up of all volunteer’s who help protect Morrisville and surrounding areas 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. We operate out of a single station with two Engines, one Ladder, one Fire-Rescue, one Utility, and one Marine Rescue Unit. Morrisville Fire Company answers approximately 375 calls annually from structure fires and auto accidents to fire alarms systems and assisting surrounding fire companies.


2010 LABOR DAY 10k & FUN RUN
   
The annual Morrisville Fire Company Labor Day 10k & Fun Run will take place on September 6, 2010. Registration forms are attached below in PDF format for download.  To download, click on 2010 Labor Day Run headline and the click on the small PDF icon under the race map image. You can mail or drop off your registration to Morrisville Fire Company - 528 North Pennsylvania Ave. - Morrisville, Pa 19067. Entry fees are $25.00 until 9/5/2010 and $30.00 on race day between 7:00am - 8:45am. The one mile fun run registration is $20.00, and all checks can be made payable to Morrisville Fire Company. Number and shirt pick up will take place at the Morrisville Fire Company on September 4, 2010 from 9:00am - 4:00pm and September 5, 2010 from 9:00am - 4:00pm. The 10k course begins at Williamson Park on North Delmorr Ave. and course maps are also available at the Morrisville Fire Company.


 
UNION AND DELMORR AUTO EXTRICATION

At 19:09 Station 98, Engine 30 and Medic 139 were dispatched to Union St. & North Delmorr Ave for an auto extrication.  C98 arrived first reporting a two vehicle accident with one trapped.  Rescue 98 arrived and had the victim free within 5 minutes.  Station 98 was available at 20:00.


 
LINCOLN AVE DUMPSTER FIRE

At 22:40 Station 98 was dispatched for a dumpster fire in the rear of 640 Lincoln Ave.  C98 arrived reporting a well involved dumpster.  R98 quickly handled the fire and 98's were available at 23:00.


 
DWELLING FIRE IN LOWER MAKEFIELD

At 01:00 Stations 0, 80 & Ladder 30 were dispatch for a dwelling fire on Marsha Terrace in Lower Makefield Township.  C0 was first to arrived reporting a single story dwelling fully involved.  At 01:09 Engine 98 was dispatched to cover 0's house.  Shortly after Engine 98 was redirected into the scene for assistance.  C98 and Engine 98's crew operated for over 3 hours before returning to quarters at 04:30.  C0 had Yardley Command.


 
CAR FIRE AT MEALEYS

Just after 15:00 hours Engine 30 & Engine 98 were dispatched for a automobile fire at the Mealeys furniture outlet on Enterprise Ave.  C8 in the area was first to arrive reporting a well involved Chevy Tahoe.  Crews from E30 & E98 quickly handled the fire and were available at 15:40.


 
   
   
RESCUE GOES TO EDGELY FOR DWELLING FIRE

At 03:30 Station 10 was dispatched for a investigation in the Kenwood section of Levittown.  Deputy 10 arrived at 143 Kenwood Drive South reporting a 2.5 story single family dwelling with fire showing and people possibly trapped.  At 03:36 the assignment was upgraded to a tactical box.  Rescue 98 was dispatch at 03:40 as the second RIT team.  The crew assumed RIT responsibilities with R31 and assisted with overhaul.  The fire was placed under control at 04:15.  Chief 10 had Kenwood Command and Rescue 98 was available at 04:45.  Thanks to Lorren Barrett for the photos.


 
   
   
DWELLING FIRE IN 30's LOCAL

At 10:58 Stations 30, 31, 32, 33, and 98 were dispatched for a dwelling fire at 114 Martha Drive in the 30-32 local.  Deputy 30 arrived at 10:52 reporting a two story wood frame dwelling with smoke showing all 4 sides.  Engine 301 arrived, dropped a supply line and went in service with two 1.75" hand lines.  Crews from 98's, 31's, and 32's assisted with hooking and checking for extension on the interior while 33's opened the roof.  The fire was placed under control at 11:15 and Deputy 30 had Falls Command.


 
SEVERE STORMS BRING MANY CALLS

At 18:00 hours on Memorial Day many severe storms trampled through Morrisville and surrounding areas.  Station 98 ran several calls in a few hours ranging from alarms, wires burning in homes, trees on homes, and trees down on wires.  Station 98 was available from the last call at 20:20.


 
   
   
MEMORIAL DAY PARADE

Station 98 hosted the annual Morrisville Memorial Day Parade today. The parade started at 09:00 and traveled through the streets of Morrisville until 10:00 where a ceremony was held at the cemetery. Thanks to all that attended!


 
   
   
NEW CHIEF'S CAR
Morrisville Fire Company recently purchased a 2010 Chevy Tahoe to replace the Chief's car.  The Tahoe is equipped with all Whelen lighting, a Havis Shield console and Carba Fire Technologies command cabinet.  The Tahoe was lettered by Kevin at KB Letterin' in Newtown.


 
   
   
POLICE CHASE ENDS IN CRASH

At 10:10 Rescue 98 was dispatch with Medic 1-39 for an accident at 1234 Yardley Morrisville Road.  Chief 98 arrived at 10:12 reporting a Dodge pick up that had rolled several times after losing control trying to elude police.  Rescue 98 arrived and secured leaks and power to the vehicle while assisting 1-39's.  Station 98 was available at 10:35.


 
   
   
FIRE IN DUPLEX ON BANK STREET

At 19:39 Stations 98 & 30 were dispatched to 104 Bank Street for a possible dwelling fire.  Chief 98 arrived reporting a two story duplex with smoke showing on side A with a fire on the front porch.  Rescue 98 arrived and went in service knocking down the fire on the front porch.  Engine 301's crew pulled a back up line and assisted Rescue 98's crew on the interior and knocking down some fire in ceilings and walls.  Crews from Ladder 98, Engine 98, and Engine 30 assisted with overhaul and throwing ground ladders.  Rescue 32 was the RIT team and the fire was placed under control at 20:15.  Chief 98 had Morrisville Command and Station 98 was available at 21:30.


 
   
   
SECOND FIRE OF THE DAY 111 MAKEFIELD ROAD

At 15:35 Stations 30, 31, 32, 98, & 0 were dispatched for a reported dwelling fire with possible entrapment at 111 Makefield Road.  Assistant 30 arrived on scene and reported smoke showing side A, and that all occupants were accounted for.  Rescue 98 arrived first and made a quick of the fire while crews from Engine 30 and Engine 31-2 arrived and checked for extension. Chief 30 had Falls Command and Rescue 98 was available at 17:05. 


 
   
   
TWO HOUSES BURN ON ROSEMAR

At 12:40 Stations 98, 30, 32 & 0 were dispatched for a reported dwelling fire on Rosemar Drive. Chief 98 arrived on scene reporting fire showing on side D of a dwelling with some extension to the B side of the neighbors house. Rescue 98 arrived first and made a quick knock of the fire while other crews checked for extension.  Chief 98 had Morrisville Command and station 98 was available at 14:15.


 
   
   
GURU & BREWS TOO FUNDRAISER
   
On May 15, 2010 at 7pm Morrisville Fire Company will be holding a beef and beer style dinner with the great food of Morrisville's own Grillin' Guru Ivan Colon.  This is not your average beef and beer, you will be able to enjoy a full menu of the Guru's great food along with unlimited beer.  Tickets are $30 per person prior to the event and $35 the night off.  For tickets see any fire company member or contact Matt Wiedenhaefer at 267.278.5113 or matt@morrisville98.com
